GAGA'S JUICY GET -UP

Last Sunday's VMA's Award, our lovely Lady Gaga shocks us again with another striking, attention-grabbin' outfit. THE RAW MEAT DRESS by Franc Fernandez. As announced, nothing offensive towards vegans, just a concept she was going for: "If we don't stand up for what we believe in or if we don't fight for our rights pretty soon, we're going to have as much rights as the meat on our own bones," Gaga declares.

Here's Gaga's entrance at the VMAs in an ALexander Mcqueen number with a gold mohawk, walking in nice and tall with those 12-in lobster heels.

Gaga's first presence on stage in a Giorgio Armani prickly , black, leather ensemble
accessorized with a Statue Of Liberty-inspired crown.

Some say that Ellen Degeneres now has beef with Gaga because she, herself is a vegetarian. BUT it's not true, especially after Gaga's presence on the Ellen Show; Ellen's given her a lovely lettuce bikini, offering her a "greener" fashion choice.

Miu Miu Fall Winter 2010-2011 Ad Campaign

lots of purple and orange and bright colors goin' on....and don't you love those metallic loafer/pump thingies?

BLACK BOOTIES

Went shopping with my dearest Phyllis and Frances last Sunday at Vallet Fair and Santana Row. We each bought ourselves black booties/wedges. We all agree that if you love one thing but if you're not completely sure of buying... walk away for there will be something better out there that will be worth every penny. Boy, did this saying just knock right in. We first hit Forever XXI and me and Frances came across the same booties we both fell in love with. However, I was hesitant... thinking about.. how i don't exactly trust forever's quality, nor do I want to have the exact same shoe as Frances. Afterward, we walked across the street to Urban Outfitters...and THEN.... it was like love at first sight..... Deena & Ozzy Laced-up Wedge.. it was a beauty... i just had to have it... within an instant took out my hello kitty debit card then swiped away ($68 worth my savings)!

Alright, i could not find the exact photo of the wedge from forever 21 but this is similar. I ended up going back to forever and buying the same bootie as Frances. Anyways...haha but we can match now! yay! Anyways, the one we purchased, the material was... felt? i think...
THIS is the bootie i fell in love with at Urban. And it was worth every penny! I love how its cut-out and laced at the same time and i love the use of pleather! Seriously, this thing is like my baby, i've been polishing it and giving myself a shoe shine every week. I should definitely start a shoe collection, mainly consisting of black wedges and booties... here are my next victims:

Ankle- strapped wedge from Urban...

Forever 21's studded laced up bootie...

Jeffrey Campbell lace up wedge from urban..
Forever 21 oxford pumps... for some reason their not selling it anymore DANG IT!!

American Apparel Wishlist

American Apparel's 3-D flower mesh jumper ($84)... It looks beautiful and cozy! perfect for fall! A sweater- like garment with the darlingest floral design, perfect for this season yes?

I am loving the black version too. I worry if the white one would make me look like a snowball, so i include the black one on my list of must-haves as well.Gaahh... im so jealous of this girl....1) for having the jumper, 2) for looking fabulous in it ...3) for putting it so nicely with the pleather skinnies and heels. Something I'd definitely pull off.. haha just kidding. but this IS something I'd put together and wear.

Other than nice black or pleather skinnies...you know what else would go great with the top? American Apparel's Linen High-Waisted Pleated Pants!!! yes, these are to die for. i've been looking for a good, afforable pair of high-waisted pants for a long time now. I went shopping with my Best shoppin' buds last week and we came across these same pants in American Apparel of Valley Fair. It broke my heart to see the price tag .... ($75)...this is when the rich looks down on me. haha, one day, you gorgeous thang will be mine!...or i can just design my own in the future... hehe a girl can dream...

Dolls!

Totally want these dolls. Not only are the Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington, but they are super cute!

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Raeburn....

What caught my eye in this month's VOGUE ....London-based designer, Christopher Raeburn creates an eco-friendly, ethical line of cozy coats and parkas- made from what exactly?... Raeburn used all second-hand salvaged materials (found in variety of military warehouses), including Euro-star uniforms, old Belgian army tank suits, or even retired hot air-balloons all from the 1950's. The coat that Blake Lively wears was "constructed from never-worn battle dress jackets found in storage in the U.K."...costing $1700, sold at Barney's NY stores.

Lady Gaga

Lighting is somewhat dark, but there she is!

Set for Alejandro, i know you can barely see a thing, but pay close attention the silhouettes of the on-stage set, it's quite spectacular. And this was about the time my camera ran out of batteries so i couldn't record the performance ...

Gaga performing "Dance In the Dark..."

I forgot what performance was this one, but her costume is definitely another one of her most eye-catching outfits. It's hard to tell what inspired her for this particular get-up. I would guess, hay? A tree stump? Those old fashioned chariot things people back in like Asia, used to carry people in...random but hey it came to me.

Her most memorable costume of the whole night, performing "So Happy I Could Die".... reminds me of the witch from Narnia or makes me think of some Queen of winter or even Tinkerbell.

Gaga and her lovely disco stick.....probably my most favorite prop that she has created. I am not sure, but I'm going to assume that this performace was "Love Game."

Two days ago was my birthday (8/16) and FOR my birthday, I went to Lady Gaga's concert. Oh boy, i love her so much! She is my idol! I went with Jonathan Lin, one of my best friends. We had a BLAST! Her voice was amazing live, the props and on stage set was beautiful, and the costumes, as bazaar yet brilliant as ever! The bad news was my battery for the camera ran out half way through the show , so i didn't get to film Bad Romance or Alejandro or any of my most favorite songs from her. However, overall, i enjoyed every minute of it!
